A Dreamy Wedding in Allerton Park

Early June in Allerton is perhaps the most anticipated time of year for weddings. The blooms and wild grasses are lush and vibrant. The lingering chill of spring is gone, yet the humidity and ferocious heat of summer has not yet arrived. Early summer evenings in this place are magical. Sunsets are brilliant and the stars are magnificent in all of their glory. Perhaps this is why I loved this venue so much.

Katie and Garret really know how to capture the essence of such a beautiful location. Electing to have a clear-top tent was definitely the way to go! I don’t always remember every detail for every wedding that I shoot, but when something this spectacular happens, it definitely makes it memorable. I love a venue that makes it feel possible to become a part of it. To top off all of the wedding feels, an evening of crazy good fun was had by all! Recycle the Day, one of Chicago’s leading party bands, helped to make it a night I doubt anyone could forget.

Garret and Katie, I loved, loved, LOVED every single detail about your special day! While the gown, cake, and flowers were stunning, you two made the day! Here’s to wishing you both a lifetime of fun and happiness…a reflection of the couple I have had the privilege to have gotten to know.
